"Agent" is an autonomous software achieving intelligent interaction with humans, information systems and other agents, and a core technology for constructing next-generation distributed systems. Many researchers have been made a lot of effort to study agent technologies all over the world. Nowadays, human societies is closely bound up with advanced information systems. Thus, the importance of researches on information technologies supporting humans in diverse situations have been increased as the complexity of human societies has gone up.
How to cope with high-integration of social functions in urban areas, complex social mechanisms, and diverse massive risks including natural disasters to preserve humans daily life? Researches on Multi-Agent Systems have the potential to provide solutions for significant issues based on diverse approaches (e.g., mechanism design, human-agent interaction, and social simulations, etc...).
The aim of the workshop and symposium is to bring together researchers who can contribute to a better understanding of agent technologies. JAWS is an inter-organizational event that JSSST SIG multi-agent and cooperative computation, IEICE SIG artificial intelligence, IPSJ SIG intelligence and complex systems, and JSAI SIG knowledge base systems co-sponsor.
The registration page for JAWS-2011 has been opened.
JAWS-2011 Registration (Sorry, it is in Japanese)
The deadline of early registration is Sep 28th and it is recommended that you should complete the registration before Oct 17th.
In JAWS-2011, there are two invited talks by foreign researchers, Prof. Alexis Drogoul (UMI 209 UMMISCO IRD/UPMC) and Prof. Thomas Ã…gotnes (University of Bergen). These are quite instructive for foreign students.
JAWS (Joint Agent Workshop & Symposiums) website is officially opened.
The information will be updated according to need.
On this site, we are going to send information on JAWS and Multi-Agent Systems.
The tentative version of JAWS website in English is opened. Contents on this website will be revised as needed.
